He is an Indian businessman and chairman of the ‘HRH Group of Hotels‘.
Arvind Singh Mewar and his brother Mahendra Singh Mewar are the successors of several royal palaces of Udaipur, of which most have now been converted into luxurious hotels or museums for conservation.
He is a descendant of the royal Rajput family of Mewar, in which kings like Maharana Pratap were born.

He was born on 13 December 1979. He is the son of “Bhagwat Singh Mewar“. He is considered to be the 76th custodian of the House of Mewar.
Education of Arvind Singh Mewar
Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur completed his education at Mayo College, Ajmer, and from there he completed his school certificate.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Udaipur city itself. He studied English, political science, literature, and economics at Maharana Bhupal College, Udaipur.
Later, he pursued his further studies in hotel management from Metropolitan College, St Albans in the UK. And after that, he learns and worked in hospitality services in the United States.
Career of Arvind Singh Mewar
He is the current Chairman and Managing Director of HRH Group of Hotels, which was started in 1963 by his father.
In addition to this, they have a crystal collection in the palace as well as a fleet of antique cars. These museums are open to the public.
From 1979 to 1981, Arvind Singh Mewar lived in Chicago and worked there. After that from 1981 to 1984, he worked as ADC / Personal Secretary of his father “Maharana Bhagwat Singh Mewar” in Udaipur itself.
His major duties included making appointments, guest relations, and travel-related plans.
Later, in 1982–83, he was appointed as General Manager at Lake Palace Hotel, Udaipur.
Personal Life of Arvind Singh Mewar
Arvind Singh Mewar was married to Princess Vijayraj of Kutch, Gujarat.
He has 2 daughters named Princess Bhargavi Kumari Mewar, Princess Padmaja Kumari Mewar, and a son named Prince Laksharaj Singh Mewar.
Personal Interests of Arvind Singh Mewar
He transformed Polo in Mewar through which Polo made significant changes in India. With this, he founded Ramgarh Resort and Polo Club in Jaipur as India’s first ‘Polo Destination’.
Arvind Singh Mewar has also been a patron of polo in the UK through the Mewar Cambridge and New Market polo clubs.
Shikarbadi Hotel in Udaipur now has a private airport where Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur is developing his passion for aviation and sports.
They have microlight aircraft and small airplanes that are available for personal use and special guests;
He is working towards converting his private airport of Shikarbadi into a commercial one, to be developed as a ‘city airport’.
Awards & Achievements of Arvind Singh Mewar
In the year 2012, He was awarded with VIII Annual Gala WT Institution Award for ‘Contribution to Universal Culture‘ at the General Assembly of United Nations Headquarters in New York for his great efforts and work through the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur.
He was awarded the prestigious ‘Agastya Award’ in the year 2001 for the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), for promoting tourism in the country.
In January 2012, he was also awarded the HIFI Hall of Fame Award by the Hotel Investment Forum India (HIFI) for his outstanding business practices and achievements in the hospitality industry.
Apart from this, he has been an active member of the prestigious World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), the global forum for business leaders in the travel and tourism trade.
With the Government of Rajasthan, he has been the advisor to the Rajiv Gandhi Tourism Development Mission; Arvind Singh Mewar has also been an Executive Member of The Rajasthan Foundation, dedicated to the promotion of Rajasthan Tourism worldwide.
