Corona Update for Udaipurites
The Rajasthan Government has announced the closure of all schools, colleges, multiplexes, Gayam, Theatre till March 30 due to Coronavirus. Along with all the cities of Rajasthan state, Udaipur city has also been selected. This announcement has been made after an urgent meeting at chief minister Ashok Gehalt. This decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to prevent coronavirus infection.
However, the government has not yet postponed the examinations of schools and colleges running in the state of Rajasthan.
All these instructions have been given for all the cities of Rajasthan including our city Udaipur.
The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot had called an emergency meeting with the senior officials from the state’s medical and health department.
Apart from this, the Cheif Minister has ordered the closure of all events and dramas or theatre plays to be held during this period.
CM Ashok Gehlot said that all the medical and nursing colleges inside the state will not be affected by this order. He has also requested the people to keep their social gathering small by inviting a limited number of guests only.
According to the recent news, more than 3 lakh people have been screened so far, out of which three people have been tested positive for COVID-19 in Rajasthan.
People do not have to panic in any way. These decisions have been taken to ensure the spread of the virus. So far, only three cases have been confirmed and according to the government, the situation is under control.
