Location of Lake Badi
It is an artificial freshwater lake which is located in ‘Badi village’, about 12 kilometers from the main city. Badi lake is located in a rural area of Badi village.

History of Lake Badi
This lake was built by Maharana Raj Singh. It was built between (1652–1680). At that time, the king built this lake, especially to counter the devastating effects of famine. Earlier it was also known as “Jayana Sagar”.
This lake was also used as the primary source of water during the 1973 drought.

This lake is surrounded by the Aravalli hills and there is an amazing lake point nearby known as Bahubali hills where you can enjoy the unbelievable 360-degree view of Lake Badi and Aravali hills.

By Air –
Udaipur Airport, known as Dabok Airport, is located 34.7 km from the lake. Indian Airways connects Udaipur with some major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Aurangabad. From Dabok Airport, you can travel about 1 hour 15 minutes by taxi to the lake.
By Train –
Lake Badi of Udaipur is ar 13.6 km kilometers from the Udaipur railway station. You can travel directly to Udaipur by train from Jaipur, Chittor, Delhi, Ajmer, Ahmedabad, and Jodhpur.
By Road –
You can also make your Udaipur trip exciting by road. Udaipur City connects with Udaipur National Highway 8 (NH 8), this highway connects Mumbai and Delhi to this city. You can also reach Udaipur city by traveling through the bus and reach Lake Badi easily.

It is believed that the name of this hill as Bahubali Hills is suggested by a Google user as it was found similar to the one in the Bollywood film Bahubali.

It is an Indian animal rescue organization, based in Lake City Udaipur. which rescues and treats Streets animals that are sick, injured, stuck, or in need of urgent medical aid and attention.
It become more popular worldwide after they started posting videos of their rescue on their YouTube channel, Animal Aid Unlimited, India. As of January 2020, their YouTube channel has over 5 million subscribers.
Monsoon Palace or Sajjangarh Palace –
Sajjangarh Palace is located about 10 km from Lake Badi. It is also popular with the name “Monsoon Palace” as it was built primarily for viewing the clouds. Sitting at its unbelievable height, you can easily enjoy the panoramic view of the city’s lakes, palaces, and the surrounding countryside.
It is made of beautiful white marble stones and is situated on the “Bansadara peak” of the Aravalli hill range with a height of about 3100 feet above sea level.
The fort is illuminated daily in the evening, which gives a magical golden glow, enhances its beauty a thousand times. A special thing is that some popular scenes of James Bond’ 1983’s film “Octopussy” was shot in this palace.
