On Saturday, in a late-night decision, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has announced a “Complete lockdown” in all districts of Rajasthan state due to pandemic coronavirus. This decision was taken after Bhilwara which was lockdown immediately after 7 more people found positive on Saturday. The total number of people found positive is now 13 and the city is kept on high alert.

Few hours before the announcement of the lockdown, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed and urged people across the country for a “Janta curfew” on Sunday i.e March 22, to contain the outbreak.

Just as the whole world is helpless in the face of the outbreak of Corona and the kind of situation is happening in other countries, it seems that the next few weeks will be very important for our country.

So far, more than 3 lakhs cases found and over 14 thousand people died of the coronavirus, and this number is increasing day by day, which is a matter of serious concern.

All the government and private offices, shops, shopping malls, gyms, and public transport of Rajasthan State will remain closed during this period, which directly means that no one can come inside or go outside the Rajasthan state without the legal permission of the Government, while Rajasthan’s borders with other States will be sealed.

This grand decision was taken after a high-level meeting by CM Ashok Gehlot with the top officials. It this meeting, it was decided that only essential and Medical services will be free from lockdown. For the moment it will be better for everyone that they stay in their homes.

During the lockdown, more than 1 crore Indian families who are covered under the National Food Security Act will get free wheat for 2 months by the government. Food packets will also be distributed free of cost to street vendors, daily wage vendors, and poor families across the city.

The CM also gave instructions that a core group should be appointed under the chairmanship of Home Secretary Rajiv Swaroop, which will handle day-to-day decisions to deal with issues arising out of the closure and restrictions and extending relief to common people.

Also, The social security pension will be paid by the state government to all pensioners by the first week of April so that they do not have to face any financial problem.

Finally, CM Gehlot said that state government is with people all in this crisis. The government will take all necessary steps to protect people against pandemic coronavirus.
